Well, April went by in a flurry of holidaying, lack of activity and then a flurry of activity.
To be honest, not much writing got done, although there was an unusual amount of planning, which is a novel approach for me.
An Empire's Dawn is well under way, and still on track for a summer release, whilst on the Twistleton front I have the rough outline in place for Em and the Fairy's Wings. I'm using research for the book as my excuse for the two weeks I've just spent in beautiful Brittany.
For those that have never been to Brittany, you really should go. Medieval towns, standing stones and some amazing abbeys and churches, particularly the abbey on top of Mont St Michel (although if you do visit you might need a walking stick, its and insane amount of stairs).

Arthurian legend abounds in Brittany as well, supported by a strong celtic heritage, which makes it the perfect place for Em to visit on a school trip. And all of that before we get the neolithic stones that southern Brittany is famous for. La Roche aux Fées (The Fairies Rock) I'm fairly certain will figure somewhere.
Anyway, time to get on with some work, so I'll leave you with two pics from Carnac. When they say they have a few standing stones... they really mean it.
Have fun
Mike
