Life Style Changes

When I say I'm not doing much this month, I really mean I'm not doing much, but at the same time I'm doing something genuinely life changing.
The life changing bit is finally quitting smoking. It's been thirty plus years since I was a non-smoker, so it's not easy.
That's the plus side of the month. The down side is that part of the process is to break yourself out of the habitual side of it as well as the addiction. Unfortunately, one of my habits is sitting at my laptop, writing and smoking through an evening, with strong coffee to accompany it all.
As such, I'm currently not writing a word on either of my two current projects. For those waiting I can only apologise, but I've tried quitting several times over the years and I want to give myself the best possible chance this time, so sacrifices must be made.
All is not lost though. I may not be physically writing, but it has given me time to resolve my plot issues on the new Southern Empire story (trying to get everyone to the right place at the right time) and I still plan to have both books completed before Christmas.
In compensation, and especially for those of you that like the BBC show Merlin, a picture of the Chateau de Pierrefonds that I took last year. The Chateau was used for some of the exterior shots of Camelot in the series.
Enjoy,
Mike
